Frequently asked questions

Membership, made clear.

Is the annual membership the same as conference sponsorship?

No. Membership supports the association and provides the benefits shown in the selected tier. Conference sponsorships, exhibition packages and event-specific benefits are separate unless explicitly agreed.

Can a company appoint several representatives?

Yes. The Company Member tier includes up to five named representatives, while the Corporate Partner tier includes up to fifteen. The legal exercise of membership rights remains subject to the statutes and the applicable organisational rules.

When does membership become effective?

Membership becomes effective after the application has been approved and the annual contribution has been paid, subject to the statutes and the confirmation issued by SCAI.

Can start-ups or non-profit organisations request a tailored arrangement?

Yes. SCAI may review special cases individually where a standard tier would create a disproportionate barrier and the organisation can make a meaningful contribution to the mission.
